DTERBIM is part of the Tech4EUConstruction Cluster, an initiative launched in 2022 by the Horizon Europe projects HumanTech, BEEYONDERS and RoBétArmé.

The Cluster brings together projects developing and demonstrating new technologies to further digitalise and automate the European construction sector, making it safer, more efficient and more attractive to workers. It also works to strengthen the EU’s technological sovereignty in construction and reduce dependence on technological imports.

The Cluster is open to other EU-funded projects working on AI and robotics in construction that are interested in collaborating through activities such as the exchange of expertise and technical innovations, joint communication and dissemination, and the co-creation of workshops and events.

The projects involved

Founders

HUMANTECH advances innovative, human-centred technologies to help make the construction industry safer, greener, more efficient, and more attractive to a new generation of highly skilled workers.

BEEYONDERS produces, commercialises, and integrates beyond the state-of-the-art solutions into real construction scenarios, making extensive use of AI, automation, and digitisation.

ROBÉTARMÉ has created a human-robot collaborative construction system for shotcrete digitisation and automation through advanced perception, cognition, mobility, and additive manufacturing.

Active

At DTERBIM, we are shaping the future of construction and renovation through an innovative design and project delivery methodology. We aim to make managing building projects more efficient by optimising resources, reducing time and costs, and embedding circularity principles from the start.

DISCOVER aims to revolutionise the construction and demolition industry by developing an advanced system for the autonomous, synchronous, and continuous identification and analysis of materials in end-of-life built environments.

ShieldBot aims to revolutionise the construction industry by integrating advanced robotics with sustainable practices to tackle critical challenges in renovation and building efficiency, emphasising the integration of human-robot collaboration.

RADIANCE is developing an integrated suite of robotic, digital, and AI-based technologies to support the full renovation process in the construction sector, from inspection and diagnosis to repair, safety, planning, and sustainability assessment.

RoboCons is developing a Robot-Human Adaptive Construction Ecosystem and a Digital Construction Platform, combining multi-robot orchestration, cognitive algorithms, tactile exoskeletons, and digital twins to enable safe, efficient, and sustainable on-site automation.

Former

REINCARNATE has developed a platform to provide information on the life cycles and reuse potential of construction materials and methods, enabling the prediction and extension of product lifetimes.

RECONMATIC aims to integrate life-cycle construction and demolition waste management into all phases of built structures, from planning and design to construction, operation, repurposing, and deconstruction.

InCUBE envisions to unlock the EU renovation wave through cutting-edge standardised and integrated processes based on industrialisation, innovative renewable energy technologies, digitalisation, and new market entrants.

BIM2TWIN aims to provide the construction sector with a breakthrough platform for construction management. An innovative tool based on the Digital Building Twin (DBT) concept, enriched by functionalities related to real-time data collection and end-user applications.

HERON is creating an automated system for comprehensive road maintenance. The project also includes automating pre/post-intervention phases, such as visual inspections and controlled handling of traffic cones, aiming to improve overall roadwork efficiency.
