On 6 October 2026, DTERBIM joined more than 30 Horizon Europe projects at the Built4People Projects Clustering Event in Brussels, organised by CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency) with the support of the European Commission, ECTP (European Construction and sustainable built environment Technology Platform) and ENCORD.
Our Project Coordinator, Sonia Álvarez, represented our project, sharing our goals and developments alongside fellow #Tech4EUConstruction Cluster projects ShieldBot, RADIANCE and RoboCons.
Collaborating for a more sustainable built environment
The event brought together projects working to transform Europe’s built environment, creating a perfect opportunity to exchange knowledge, share experiences and explore new collaborations.
Discussions covered a wide range of topics, from industrialised and circular building renovation to robotics, Digital Twins and participatory urban regeneration.
Through dedicated breakout sessions, participants explored how their project results could contribute to the four Built4People Strategic Action Pathways: Net Zero, Affordable, Resilient and Productive Built Environment. They also discussed how research and innovation can better inform future EU policies and funding priorities.
A key takeaway was the importance of strengthening collaboration across disciplines, bridging the gap between research and market uptake, improving data sharing, and supporting wider adoption of innovative solutions.
For us at DTERBIM, these discussions support the value of working together across European projects to advance digital tools and BIM-based approaches for more circular and energy-efficient building renovation.
